Teachers are required to make up 36 hours outside of school time as part of the Croke Park Agreement. In Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál, New Inn teachers stay most weeks for an extra hour on Tuesdays to work on school planning and policy development or have staff meetings and staff training.
During 2011-2012 teachers availed of training in First Aid, The Stay Safe Programme, Buntús Training for P.E. and had an in-service from Folens on the digital resources available to supplement the new schemes introduced this year in Maths and English. Below the hours worked are outlined: –
