Education of the whole child

It is our aim to expose the child to all types of educational experiences. We feel that school is not just a place for acquiring academic qualifications. We attempt to enhance the child’s whole experience of life.

Extra Curricular Activities

Dancing: Dance classes culminate in a dancing display at the Christmas Concert

Concerts: at Christmas or other times of the year to raise funds.

Carol Singing: in Parish Church

Camogie: Training & participation in Cumann na mBunscoil

Library Books: Thurles Mobile Library calls on a regular basis.

School Tour: The School Tour provides Educational and Recreational opportunities.

Nature Walks & Picnics: Appreciation of our habitat and the flora and fauna that surrounds us.

Religion: School Mass for pupils and parents, preparation for Sacraments.

Cork Pops: participation at Cork Pops with Cork Pops Orchestra

Sports Day: Held annually in June, in conjunction with an Ice cream sundae for Downs Syndrome

Bouncy Castle & Eliminator provided on the day subsided by Parents Council

Local History/Geography Tour: 3 year cycle with visits to Cahir, Cashel & local area.

Science Tours: Interactive Science day
